     During my third week working with Nevio Prosen from Prosen Consulting, He told me the two most looked-at sites for new customers and patients are social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Yelp. The other thing is Google and their Google reviews. During some of my extra time with him, I worked on those things after he mentored me about their importance. After my posts and comments on Instagram, I am happy to say almost 1,000 people have viewed the page, 70 people have engaged in the posts, and 66 people have clicked the link in the bio that takes them to the website. I was able to find this information on the Meta business website.       The purpose of my project was to figure out what I want to do in the future. I am currently undecided as a business major at Miami University. Three weeks ago, I had no idea what I wanted to do. All I knew was I liked and enjoyed learning about business. As a backup plan, I always thought about dental hygiene as an option. Three weeks later I have a much better understanding of what I want to do. My week with Louise Dagg taught me many things about running a business. From the mentorship, small tasks need to be taken care of or they will add up and be a big problem to catch up on. I learned about the importance of quality assurance, business administration, and sales. I was able to listen to Empower DDS try and sell their insurance to us. They used many business tactics such as no monthly fees, twenty-five percent off due to a referral, and the question, why not do it? All of these majors caught my eye, but none of them stood out.      After observing and working with Mr. Prosen for a few days now, I have learned a lot of skills and new information. I have learned about the importance of marketing in today's world. He told me most people looking for a new product use reviews and social media to make their decision. With this information, I decided to help Lake West Dental's social media platform, Instagram, and their google reviews. When I researched Lake West Dental, they only have two reviews. Although they are both Five stars, It is important to have quantity along with quality. I decided to make a sign to help boost and add reviews.      The QR code easily allows people to scan the code and it takes them directly to the page for Google reviews. For my second week in my Hawken Project, I started working with the dental hygienists but mostly Mrs. Loveland. The entire process was something new to me and I was very eager to learn. I started my time the dental hygiene by getting my own teeth cleaned. The process was shorter and easier than I remember it being. I learned a lot about my own teeth and it was nice to learn that there was nothing seriously wrong with my teeth. Throughout the cleaning process, she was telling me what she was doing to clean them, But also what I should be doing to prevent tartar and cavities from forming. Such as flossing more and eating less sugary foods. The entire process was simple and efficient. In the end, my teeth felt clean and I wanted to know more about the process.  The first week of my project has been great. I especially enjoyed Tuesday. I was able to meet with another one of my mentors, Nevio Prosen. At the beginning of my project, I thought I would be spending one week with each mentor but it has been the most effective and simple to observe when each person has had time and space for me. Mr. Prosen started college as a business major but switched halfway through to become an internet technician. I will be helping him recreate and improve the current website. During our first meeting, he gave me the necessary information on how to build a website and create traffic to the site.      My first week here at Lake West Dental has been hectic but exciting. I have had a great time working with each person and each one of my mentors. When I first came in everyone was so nice and excited to have me here. after meeting everybody, I was introduced to a lot of the technology and everything that goes on here. I learned about everything from the new device that creates a 3D image of teeth, to the software called Open Dental that is used to organize and schedule. I met with one of my mentors, Louise Dagg. Her official job title is the office manager. Without her management, I don't think the business would still be here today. One of the purposes of my project is to decide on what I want to major in within business. When I think about Mrs. Dagg, business administration is what her job represents.
